Information used by the alpha
We store your email address, account identifier and verification status to provide account access. Sign-in and recovery use emailed links; we do not ask you to create a Faunera password. We also keep session, authorization and request-limit records to verify access and restrict repeated requests.
The game stores the link between your account and household, committed game actions and persistent world state. Replay and recovery records help preserve progress and investigate failures. Technical records can include identifiers, timestamps, network addresses and errors. Network providers also see connection metadata when carrying traffic.
Private support stores the text you submit with your account and case details. A draft saved in the game stays local until you separately submit a report. Do not include passwords, account links, access codes or unrelated personal data.
Cookies and local files
The website uses a sign-in cookie and can remember your display preference. The normal browser session expires after eight hours; logout or account recovery can end access sooner. Emailed account links expire after fifteen minutes and cannot be reused after consumption. Credential expiry does not mean that its database record has been erased.
The native client keeps the local files needed to launch, reconnect and save report drafts. Protect those files on shared computers. This alpha does not include advertising or third-party website analytics scripts.
Services handling information
The authoritative game and website databases run separately on the operator’s Linux machine. DigitalOcean relays carry connections to it. Resend handles account-verification and recovery email. Support email passes through ImprovMX to a Google Gmail inbox used by the operator. Those providers process the messages or connection information needed for their services.
Retention and requests
Account, game and support records currently remain for operation, recovery and investigation during the alpha; there is no automatic account-erasure schedule. Backups can contain earlier copies. Some historical world and replay records also describe interactions involving other players.
Contact us to ask about your information, request a correction or request account closure or deletion. We may need to verify that you control the account before acting. There is no self-service deletion feature in this alpha. We will explain what can be removed and any records that must be retained; this notice does not promise immediate removal from historical backups.
